In 2011 we got so many requests for overnight parking of Motorhomes and Campervans and for electrical hook-ups, that we laid on the basics as an interim step in 2012. By Apr 2013 we will provide the necessary services, and continue with the landscaping. We are now advertised in the famous Green Guide. The Motorhome Park is behind the Mill House, at the upper level, and beside the best views, especially sunsets, over New Lake and the Atlantic Ocean, out to Tory Island.Below is the typical evening view from the Motorhome Park to Tory Island, taken last autumn. Our very popular, small campsite has always been available to those holiday-making seeking a more adventurous experience, in a safe, natural, peaceful environment.A form of 'wild camping' can be enjoyed here, in a totally safe, quiet and natural environment but with showers, toilets and a dedicated campers' kitchen laid on. We never up-graded the campsite to a 'registered' facility as we feel that the informality of our campsite lends itself to a more natural camping experience. Our camping facilities are not 5-star because we feel that that ethos can sanitise and ruin the authentic adventure of camping. We prefer to welcome people who want a camping experience that is as close to nature as possible but with all necessary cooking and sanitary facilities available.
